LET’S STOP FOR A FEW MINUTES on the road to destruction if I may say, mon ami, 朋友, φίλος, חבר, приятель, صديق, amigos and friends of all the nations, and kindreds, and peoples, and tongues (Revelation/Apocalipsis 7:9), and yes ye the people, and look and read of the Mercies of the God of the Bible, how God ‘amonesta/admonishes’ us all and warns everyone without exception out of Love, the Love of Christ that is. For the Love of God is manifested only in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus and the and the rich young man, young rich ruler: And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life. And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? None is good, save one, that is, God. Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do no steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother. And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. Now when Je’sus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

(DISCLAIMER: I am not a Bible teacher, nor for that matter of any other thing, nor am I a theologian, God forbid, I am just a “fly’ on the Bible (He must increase, but I must decrease. John/Juan 3:30), one of many out there of which I don’t know who they are or where they are, but definitely they are not part of Christianity or any other religion or entity)

To start with, we could read in the Gospel of Mathew 19:16-30 and in the Gospel of Mark 10:17-31 that the ‘rich young ruler’ left the presence of Jesus sorrowfully but at the same time rejecting what Jesus said that could have placed him literally at the very doors of the Kingdom of God, for Jesus is God and nothing is impossible with God. We can observe too, that the rule of engagement when it came to rule, even back then, started with the rich, in another words, how many carpenters, blacksmiths or custodians ended up ruling? And the one or two that managed to rule became rich soon. The rule to ruling, say in a monarchy is the rule of dynasty; it is not the ‘page real/royal page’ that becomes a king; he has to be a ‘descendiente/descendant’, blue blood, of the king, or queen in some nations.

However in some nations some of the royal rules are bent when it comes to gender; an example is Saudi Arabia where women are ‘segundo nivel/second tier’ [Read: Second class citizens]. Strange if we look at it, because it was the British that established the Saudi Royal House, an act that could bring down both monarchies with the passing of time, for it seems that in the ‘time and a season’ in which we are living today everything is possible as in time to pay in full the Piper in the year of full Restitution, 2019 that is; it is called double portion in the Bible. These things happen even in the “spiritual realm” as well, although the rules are bent again, this time in a ‘brujo/sorcerer’s way to say the least, and one example is the Papacy, a ‘club of dubious single men’, where there is no chance that instead of a Papa that a Mama would become the head of the Vatican. So clearly we can observe that women are ‘segundo nivel/second tier’ [Read: Second class citizens] as well in that nation, City State that is.

NOW, moving to dictators (kings and queens fall in the dictators’ category, they were never elected by the people) and elected individuals: The rich have the upper hand almost 100% of the time. Of those that reach the ‘higher places’ to rule coming from not a rich family and so on, they will fall in love with ruling others as well as becoming rich themselves, except a very tiny few of them. Contemporary example would be Mr. Daniel Ortega who started out not being rich and ended up being a very rich individual together with his wife. Another example is Mr. Nicolás Maduro Moros, but since we find ourselves in Venezuela and the ‘enchilada que está muy picante to digest’, but we can go back in time when I visited Venezuela for first time.

It was in 1980 when I visited Venezuela and as was my custom I took a municipal bus and mingled with the people. This bus ‘ruta/route’ took me among several ‘barrios’ through the hillside ‘shanty towns/favelas’ in the port town of La Guaira, near Caracas, traveling and chatting with those that lived there on the bus and on the streets. The second time was in 1999, almost 20 years later. The ‘shanty towns/favelas’ still were there: No change, no hope! The second time I traveled also to Maracaibo and had the opportunity to meet the governor of the state of Zulia, former friend of the current ruler back then, the late Hugo Chávez.

In that period of time the same man became the ruler of Venezuela twice: the first time I went there he had just finished his first term in 1979, to take it again in 1989-1993. Oh, before I forget it: The late Carlos Andrés Perez was a grand ‘amigo and ally’ of the United States of America. He self-exiled in Miami. Years later traveling to Miami, Florida, a City that I knew well years ago, I found out from reliable sources that downtown Miami should have been renamed Carlos’ Downtown Miami; he owned buildings left and right and up and down. The only one that comes to mind, to my mind that is, and remember we are talking about now of the ones that came to rule not being part of the elite, the rich that is, is Mr. José Mujica, that left the ruling of his Country the same way he arrived, ‘con lo puesto/with nothing more than what he brought on his persona’, and by the way left the country a much better place to live for all its citizens.

The new formula of “The Art of the Deal” today, for we are not in the 1980s, is sharing the Global Sandbox with other big boys (Again no pun intended) for just one player is a lonely proposition!
