NUMBERS 21:7  Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us.  And Moses prayed for the people.

2 CHRONICLES 7:14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness. 

He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not; He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light. JOB 33:26-28

2 CHRONICLES 33:12-13  And when he was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom.  Then Manasseh knew that the Lord he was God.

1 SAMUEL 1:26-27  And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here praying unto the Lord.  For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.

1 SAMUEL 2:1-2  And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.  There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.  Talk no more exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

PSALM 4:1  Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

PSALM 5:1-3  Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.  Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.  My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

PSALM 6:9  The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.

PSALM 13:3  Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

PSALM 16:1  Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust

PSALM 16:7-11  I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.  I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.  Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.  For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.  Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I have called upon thee for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech. Show thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. PSALM 17:6-9

PSALM 18:3  I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

PSALM 18:6  In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

PSALM 20:1  The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee.

PSALM 22:23-26  I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.  Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.  For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.  My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.  The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. PSALM 23

PSALM 25:1-11  Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.  O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.  Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.  Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.  Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.  Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.  Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord.  Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.  The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.  All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.  For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.

PSALM 27:4-5  One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.  For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

PSALM 27:8-9  When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.  Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

PSALM 27:14  Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

PSALM 28:1-2  Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.  Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

PSALM 28:6-7  Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.  The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.  The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

PSALM 30:2  O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

PSALM 30:8  I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.

PSALM 30:10-12  Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.  Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness: To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent, O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

PSALM 31:1-5  In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.  Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defense to save me.  For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.  Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.  Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

PSALM 31:22-23  For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes:  nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.  O love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid.  I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.  Selah  For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto them. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.  Selah. PSALM 32:5-7

PSALM 34:4  I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

PSALM 34:15  The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

PSALM 34:17  The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.  The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

PSALM 35:1  Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

PSALM 37:34  Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

PSALM 38:15  For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. 

PSALM 39:7-8  And now, Lord, what wait I for?  my hope is in thee.  Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish.

PSALM 39:12-13  Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.  O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more.

PSALM 40:1-4  I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.  He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.  Blessed is the man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

PSALM 40:16  Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.

PSALM 41:4  I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

PSALM 42:5  Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me?  hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

PSALM 44:20-21  If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. PSALM 46:1

PSALM 55:1-2  Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.  Attend unto me, and hear me:  I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise

PSALM 55:16-18  As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.  Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.  He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord,

and he shall sustain thee:

he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

PSALM 55:22

PSALM 56:9-11  When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back:  this I know; for God is for me.  In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.  In God have I put my trust:  I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

PSALM 57:1-3  Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.  I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.  He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up.  Selah.  God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

PSALM 61:1-3  Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.  For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

PSALM 62:1-2  Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.  He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

PSALM 62:8  Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him:  God is a refuge for us.  Selah.

PSALM 63:5-7  My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.  Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

PSALM 64:1  Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. PSALM 65:1-2 

PSALM 66:18-20  If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:  But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.  Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

PSALM 69:13  But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O Lord, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

PSALM 69:16-18  Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.  And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.  Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

PSALM 70:5  But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer: O Lord, make no tarrying.

Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. WHOM HAVE I IN HEAVEN BUT THEE? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a-whoring from thee. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works. PSALM 73:24-28

PSALM 77:1  I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.

PSALM 102:1-2  Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come unto thee.  Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.

PSALM 102:16-20  When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.  He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.  This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.  For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth; to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death

PSALM 143  Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.  And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.  For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.  Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.  I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.  I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land.  Selah.  Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.  Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.  Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.  Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.  Quicken me, O Lord for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.  And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

ISAIAH 1:15-16  And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.  Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil

ISAIAH 45:20-22  Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.  Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me: a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. JEREMIAH 29:11-13

JEREMIAH 7:14-16  Therefore will I do unto this house which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.  And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

JEREMIAH 11:14  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

JEREMIAH 14:10-12  Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.  Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.  When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Therefore hath the Lord watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. DANIEL 9:13-14

JEREMIAH 32:16-19  Now when I had delivered the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the Lord, saying, Ah, Lord God!  behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:  Thou showest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, is his name, Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

DANIEL 9:3-6  And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;  We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in the name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

DANIEL 9:18-19  O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.  O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

JONAH 2:1-7  Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly, And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.  For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.  Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.  The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.  I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.  When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

JAMES 5:17-18  Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

ROMANS 8:26-27  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

ROMANS 15:30  Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me

LUKE 11:1  And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.  And he said unto them, When ye pray, say,  Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.  Give us day by day our daily bread.  And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.  And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. LUKE 11:2-4

MATTHEW 5:44-45  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men.  Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret;  and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.  Amen MATTHEW 6:5-13

MARK 11:24-26  Therefore I say unto you, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

MATTHEW 9:38  Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

LUKE 18:1-8 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint: Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith, And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

JOHN 17:8-9  For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.  I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

LUKE 18:9-14  And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:  Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.  The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.  And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

MARK 1:35  And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

1 PETER 3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

ACTS 8:18-22  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money.  Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.  But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.  Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.  Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

ZECHARIAH  8:20-22  Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts:  I will go also.  Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.

CLAMA, ORA, RUEGA, SUPLICA / PRAY

NÚMEROS 21:7  Entonces el pueblo vino a Moisés y dijo: Hemos pecado por haber hablado contra Jehová, y contra ti; ruega a Jehová que quite de nosotros estas serpientes.  Y Moisés oró por el pueblo.

2 CRONICAS 7:14  Si se humillare mi pueblo, sobre el cual mi nombre es invocado, y oraren, y buscaren mi rostro, y se convirtieren de sus malos caminos; entonces yo oiré desde los cielos, y perdonaré sus pecados, y sanaré su tierra.

Orará a Dios, y éste le amará, Y verá su faz con júbilo; Y restaurará al hombre su justicia.  El mira sobre los hombres; y al que dijere: Pequé, ypervertí lo recto, Y no me ha aprovechado, Dios redimirá su alma para que no pase al sepulcro, Y su vida se verá en luz. JOB 33:26-28

SALMOS 18:3  Invocaré a Jehová, quien es digno de ser alabado, Y seré salvo de mis enemigos.

SALMOS 18:6  En mi angustia invoqué a Jehová, Y clamé a mi Dios.  El oyó mi voz desde su templo, Y mi clamor llegó delante de él, a sus oídos.

SALMOS 20:1  Jehová te oiga en el día de conflicto; El nombre del Dios de Jacob te defienda.

Jehová es mi pastor; nada me faltará. En lugares de delicados pastos me hará descansar; Junto a aguas de reposo me pastoreará. Confortará mi alma; Me guiará por sendas de justicia por amor de su nombre. Aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte, No temeré mal alguno, porque tú estarás conmigo; Tu vara y tu cayado me infundirán aliento. Aderezas mesa delante de mí en presencia de mis angustiadores; Unges mi cabeza con aceite; mi copa está rebosando. Ciertamente el bien y la misericordia me seguirán todos los días de mi vida, Y en la casa de Jehová moraré por largos días. SALMOS 23

SALMOS 25:1-11  A ti, oh Jehová, levantaré mi alma.  Dios mío, en ti confío; No sea yo avergonzado, No se alegren de mí mis enemigos.  Ciertamente ninguno de cuantos esperan en ti será confundido; Serán avergonzados los que se rebelan sin causa.  Muéstrame, oh Jehová, tus caminos; enséñame tus sendas.  Encamíname en tu verdad, y enséñame, Porque tú eres el Dios de mi salvación; En ti he esperado todo el día.  Acuérdate, oh Jehová, de tus piedades y de tus misericordias, Que son perpetuas.  De los pecados de mi juventud, y de mis rebeliones, no te acuerdes; Conforme a tu misericordia acuérdate de mí, Por tu bondad, oh Jehová.  Bueno y recto es Jehová; Por tanto, él ensenará a los pecadores el camino.  Encaminará a los humildes por el juicio, Y enseñara a los mansos su carrera.  Todas las sendas de Jehová son misericordia y verdad, Para los que guardan su pacto y sus testimonios.  Por amor de tu nombre, oh Jehová, Perdonarás también mi pecado, que es grande.

SALMOS 27:4-5  Una cosa he demandado a Jehová, ésta buscaré; Que esté yo en la casa de Jehová todos los días de mi vida, Para contemplar la hermosura de Jehová, y para inquirir en su templo.  Porque él me esconderá en su tabernáculo en el día del mal; Me ocultará en lo reservado de su morada; Sobre una roca me pondrá en alto.

SALMOS 27:8-9  Mi corazón ha dicho de ti: Buscad mi rostro.  Tu rostro buscaré, oh Jehová; No escondas tu rostro de mí.  No apartes con ira a tu siervo; Mi ayuda has sido.  No me dejes ni me desampares, Dios de mi salvación.

SALMOS 27:14  Aguarda a Jehová; Esfuérzate, y aliéntese tu corazón; Sí, espera a Jehová.

SALMOS 28:1-2  A ti clamaré, oh Jehová.  Roca mía, no te desentiendas de mí, Para que no sea yo, dejándome tú, Semejante a los que descienden al sepulcro.  Oye la voz de mis ruegos cuando clamo a ti, Cuando alzo mis manos hacia tu santo templo.

SALMOS 28:6-7  Bendito sea Jehová, Que oyó la voz de mis ruegos.  Jehová es mi fortaleza y mi escudo; En él confió mi corazón, y fui ayudado, Por lo que se gozó mi corazón, Y con mi cántico le alabaré.

SALMOS 30:2  Jehová Dios Mío, A ti clame, y me sanaste.

SALMOS 30:8  A ti, oh Jehová, clamare, Y al Señor suplicare.

SALMOS 30:10-12  Oye, oh Jehová, y ten misericordia de mí; Jehová, se tu mi ayudador.  Has cambiado mi lamento en baile; Desataste mi cilicio, y me ceñiste de alegría.  Por tanto, a ti cantaré, gloria mía, y no estaré callado.  Jehová Dios mío, te alabaré para siempre.

SALMOS 31:1-5  En ti, oh Jehová, he confiado; no sea yo confundido jamás; Líbrame en tu justicia.  Inclina a mí tu oído, líbrame pronto; Sé tú mi roca fuerte, y fortaleza para salvarme.  Porque tú eres mi roca y mi castillo; Por tu nombre me guiarás y me encaminarás.  Sácame de la red que han escondido para mí, Pues tú eres mi refugio.  En tu mano encomiendo mi espíritu; Tú me has redimido, oh Jehová, Dios de verdad.

SALMOS 31:22-23  Decía yo en mi premura: Cortado soy de delante de tus ojos; Pero tú oíste la voz de mis ruegos cuando a ti clamaba.  Amad a Jehová, todos vosotros sus santos; A los fieles guarda Jehová, Y paga abundantemente al que procede con soberbia.

Mi pecado te declaré, y no encubrí mi iniquidad. Dije: Confesaré mis transgresiones a Jehová; Y tú perdonaste la maldad de mi pecado. Por esto orará a ti todo santo en el tiempo en que puedas ser hallado; Ciertamente en la inundación de muchas aguas no llegarán éstas a él. SALMOS 34:4  Busque a Jehová, y él me oyó, Y me libró de todos mis temores.

SALMOS 34:15  Los ojos de Jehová están sobre los justos, Y atentos sus oídos al clamor de ellos.

SALMOS 34:17-18  Claman los justos, y Jehová oye, Y los libra de todas sus angustias.  Cercano está Jehová a los quebrantados de corazón; Y salva a los contritos de espíritu.

SALMOS 35:1  Disputa, oh Jehová, con los que contra mí contienden; Pelea contra los que me combaten.

SALMOS 37:34  Espera en Jehová, y guarda su camino, Y él te exaltará para heredar la tierra; Cuando sean destruidos los pecadores, lo verás.

Salmos 38:15  Porque en ti, oh Jehová, he esperado; Tú responderás, Jehová Dios mío.

SALMOS 39:7-8  Y ahora, Señor, ¿qué esperaré?  Mi esperanza está en ti.  Líbrame de todas mis transgresiones; No me pongas por escarnio del insensato.

SALMOS 39:12-13  Oye mi oración, oh Jehová, y escucha mi clamor.  No calles ante mis lágrimas; Porque forastero soy para ti Y advenedizo, como todos mis padres.  Déjame, y tomare fuerzas, Antes que vaya y perezca.

SALMOS 40:1-4  Pacientemente esperé a Jehová, Y se inclinó a mí, y oyó mi clamor.  Y me hizo sacar del pozo de la desesperación, del lodo cenagoso; Puso mis pies sobre peña, y enderezó mis pasos.  Puso luego en mi boca cántico nuevo, alabanza a nuestro Dios.  Verán esto muchos, y temerán, Y confiarán en Jehová.

SALMOS 40:16  Gócense y alégrense en ti todos los que te buscan, Y digan siempre los que aman tu salvación: Jehová sea enaltecido.

SALMOS 41:4  Yo dije:  Jehová, ten misericordia de mi; Sana mi alma, porque contra ti he pecado.

SALMOS 42.5  ¿Por qué te abates, oh alma mía, Y te turbas dentro de mí?  Espera en Dios; porque aun he de alabarle, Salvación mía y Dios mío.

SALMOS 44:20-21  Si nos hubiésemos olvidado del nombre de nuestro Dios, O alzado nuestras manos a dios ajeno, ¿No demandaría Dios esto?  Porque él conoce los secretos del corazón.

Dios es nuestro amparo y fortaleza, Nuestro pronto auxilio en las tribulaciones. SALMOS 46:1

SALMOS 55:1-2  Escucha, oh Dios, mi oración, Y no te escondas de mi súplica. Está atento, y respóndeme; Clamo en mi oración, y me conmuevo.

SALMOS 55:16-18  En cuanto a mí, a Dios clamaré; Y Jehová me salvará.  Tarde y mañana y a mediodía oraré y clamaré, Y él oirá mi voz.  El redimirá en paz mi alma de la guerra contra mí, Aunque contra mí haya muchos.

Echa sobre Jehová tu carga, y él te sustentará; No dejará para siempre caído al justo. SALMOS 55:22

SALMOS 56:9-11  Serán luego vueltos atrás mis enemigos, el día en que yo clamare; Esto sé, que Dios está por mí.  En Dios alabaré su palabra; En Jehová su palabra alabaré.  En Dios he confiado; no temeré;  ¿Que puede hacerme el hombre?

SALMOS 57:1-3  Ten misericordia de mí, oh Dios, ten misericordia de mí; Porque en ti ha confiado mi alma, Y en la sombra de tus alas me ampararé  Hasta que pasen los quebrantos.  Clamaré al Dios Altísimo, Al Dios que me favorece.  El enviará desde los cielos, y me salvará De la infamia del que me acosa;  Selah.  Dios enviará su misericordia y su verdad.

SALMOS 61:1-3  Oye, oh Dios, mi clamor; A mi oración atiende.  Desde el cabo de la tierra clamaré a ti, cuando mi corazón desmayare.  Llévame a la roca que es más alta que yo, Porque tú has sido mi refugio, Y torre fuerte delante del enemigo.

SALMOS 62:1-2  En Dios solamente está acallada mi alma; De él viene mi salvación.  El solamente es mi roca y mi salvación; Es mi refugio, no resbalaré mucho.

SALMOS 62:8  Esperad en él en todo tiempo, oh pueblos; Derramad delante de él vuestro corazón; Dios es nuestro refugio.

SALMOS 63:5-7  Como de meollo y de grosura será saciada mi alma, Y con labios de júbilo te alabará mi boca, Cuando me acuerde de ti en mi lecho, Cuando medite en ti en las vigilias de la noche.  Porque has sido mi socorro, Y así en la sombra de tus alas me regocijaré.

SALMOS 64:1  Escucha, oh Dios, la voz de mi queja; Guarda mi vida del temor del enemigo.

Tuya es la alabanza en Sion, oh Dios, Y a ti se pagaran los votos. Tú oyes las oraciones; A ti vendrá toda carne. SALMOS 65:1-2

SALMOS 66:18-20  Si en mi corazón hubiese yo mirado a la iniquidad, El Señor no me habría escuchado.  Mas ciertamente me escuchó Dios; Atendió a la voz de mi súplica.  Bendito sea Dios, Que no echó de si mi oración, ni de mí su misericordia.

SALMOS 69:13  Pero yo a ti oraba, oh Jehová, al tiempo de tu buena voluntad; Oh Dios, por la abundancia de tu misericordia, Por la verdad de tu salvación, escúchame.

SALMOS 69:16-18  Respóndeme, Jehová, porque benigna es tu misericordia; Mírame conforme a la multitud de tus piedades.  No escondas de tu siervo tu rostro, Porque estoy angustiado; apresúrate, óyeme.  Acércate a mi alma, redímela; Líbrame a causa de mis enemigos.

SALMOS 70:5  Yo estoy afligido y menesteroso; Apresúrate a mí, oh Dios.  Ayuda mía y mi libertador eres tú; Oh Jehová, no te detengas.

Me has guiado según tu consejo, Y después me recibirás en gloria. ¿A QUIÉN TENGO YO EN LOS CIELOS SINO A TI? Y fuera de ti nada deseo en la tierra. ISAIAS 45:20-22  Reuníos, y venid; juntaos todos los sobrevivientes de entre las naciones.  No tienen conocimiento aquellos que erigen el madero de su ídolo, y los que ruegan a un dios que no salva.  Proclamad, y hacedlos acercarse, y entren todos en consulta; ¿quien hizo oír esto desde el principio, y lo tiene dicho desde entonces, sino yo Jehová?  Y no hay más Dios que yo; Dios justo y Salvador; ningún otro fuera de mí.  Mirad a mí, y sed salvos, todos los términos de la tierra, porque yo soy Dios, y no hay más.

Porque yo sé los pensamientos que tengo acerca de vosotros, dice Jehová, pensamientos de paz, y no de mal, para daros el fin que esperáis. Entonces me invocaréis, y vendréis y oraréis a mí, y yo os oiré; y me buscaréis y me hallaréis, porque me buscaréis de todo vuestro corazón. JEREMIAS 29:11-13

JEREMIAS 7:14-16  Haré también a esta casa sobre la cual es invocado mi nombre, en la que vosotros confiáis, y a este lugar que di a vosotros y a vuestros padres, como hice a Silo.  Os echaré de mi presencia, como eché a todos vuestros hermanos, a toda la generación de Efraín.  Tú, pues, no ores por este pueblo, ni levantes por ellos clamor ni oración, ni me ruegues; porque no te oiré.

JEREMIAS 11:14  Tú, pues, no ores por este pueblo, ni levantes por ellos clamor ni oración; porque yo no oiré en el día que en su aflicción clamen a mí.

JEREMIAS 14:10-12  Así ha dicho Jehová acerca de este pueblo:  Se deleitaron en vagar, y no dieron reposo a sus pies; por tanto, Jehová no se agrada de ellos; se acordará ahora de su maldad, y castigará sus pecados.  Me dijo Jehová:  No ruegues por este pueblo para bien.  Cuando ayunen, yo no oiré su clamor, y cuando ofrezcan holocausto y ofrenda no lo aceptaré, sino que los consumiré con espada, con hambre y con pestilencia.

Conforme está escrito en la ley de Moisés, todo este mal vino sobre nosotros; y no hemos implorado el favor de Jehová nuestro Dios, para convertirnos de nuestras maldades y entender tu verdad. Por tanto, Jehová veló sobre el mal y lo trajo sobre nosotros; porque justo es Jehová nuestro Dios en todas sus obras que ha hecho, porque no obedecimos a su voz. DANIEL 9:13-14

JEREMIAS 32:16-19  Y después que di la carta de venta a Baruc hijo de Nerías, oré a Jehová, diciendo:  ¡Oh Señor Jehová!  he aquí que tú hiciste el cielo y la tierra con tu gran poder, y con tu brazo extendido, ni hay nada que sea difícil para ti; que haces misericordia a millares, y castigas la maldad de los padres en sus hijos después de ellos; Dios grande, poderoso, Jehová de los ejércitos es su nombre; grande en consejo, y magnífico en hechos; porque tus ojos están abiertos sobre todos los caminos de los hijos de los hombres, para dar a cada uno según sus caminos, y según el fruto de sus obras.

DANIEL 9:3-6  Y volví mi rostro a Dios el Señor, buscándole en oración y ruego, en ayuno, cilicio y ceniza.  Y oré a Jehová mi Dios e hice confesión diciendo: Ahora, Señor, Dios grande, digno de ser temido, que guardas el pacto y la misericordia con los que te aman y guardan tus mandamientos; hemos pecado, hemos cometido iniquidad, hemos hecho impíamente, y hemos sido rebeldes, y nos hemos apartado de tus mandamientos y de tus ordenanzas.  No hemos obedecido a tus siervos los profetas, que en tu nombre hablaron a nuestros reyes, a nuestros príncipes, a nuestros padres y a todo el pueblo de la tierra.

DANIEL 9:18-19  Inclina, oh Dios mío, tu oído, y oye; abre tus ojos, y mira nuestras desolaciones, y la ciudad sobre la cual es invocado tu nombre; porque no elevamos nuestros ruegos ante ti confiados en nuestras justicias, sino en tus muchas misericordias.  Oye, Señor; oh Señor, perdona; presta oído, Señor, y hazlo; no tardes, por amor de ti mismo, Dios mío; porque tu nombre es invocado sobre tu ciudad y sobre tu pueblo.

JONAS 2:1-7  Entonces oró Jonás a Jehová su Dios desde el vientre del pez, y dijo:  Invoqué en mi angustia a Jehová, y él me oyó; Desde el seno del Seol clamé, Y mi voz oíste.  Me echaste a lo profundo, en medio de los mares, Y me rodeó la corriente; Todas tus ondas y tus olas pasaron sobre mí.  Entonces dije: Desechado soy de delante de tus ojos; Mas aún veré tu santo templo.  Las aguas me rodearon hasta el alma, Rodeóme el abismo; El alga se enredó a mi cabeza.  Descendí a los cimientos de los montes; La tierra echó sus cerrojos sobre mí para siempre; Mas tú sacaste mi vida de la sepultura, oh Jehová Dios mío.  Cuando mi alma desfallecía en mí, me acordé de Jehová, Y mi oración llegó hasta ti en tu santo templo.

SANTIAGO 5:17-18  Elías era hombre sujeto a pasiones semejantes a las nuestras, y oró fervientemente para que no lloviese, y no llovió sobre la tierra por tres años y seis meses.  Y otra vez oró, y el cielo dio lluvia, y la tierra produjo su fruto.

ROMANOS 8:26-27  Y de igual manera el Espíritu nos ayuda en nuestra debilidad; pues que hemos de pedir como conviene, no lo sabemos, pero el Espíritu mismo intercede por nosotros con gemidos indecibles.  Mas el que escudriña los corazones sabe cuál es la intención del Espíritu, porque conforme a la voluntad de Dios intercede por los santos.

ROMANOS 15:30  Pero os ruego, hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por el amor del Espíritu, que me ayudéis orando por mí a Dios

ENSÉÑANOS A ORAR / TEACH US TO PRAY

LUCAS 11:1  Aconteció que estaba Jesús orando en un lugar, y cuando terminó, uno de sus discípulos le dijo: Señor, enséñanos a orar, como también Juan enseñó a sus discípulos.  Y les dijo: Cuando oréis, decid: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre. Venga tu reino, Hágase tu voluntad, como en el cielo, así también en la tierra. El pan nuestro de cada día, dánoslo hoy. Y perdónanos nuestros pecados, porque también nosotros perdonamos a todos los que nos deben. Y no nos metas en tentación, mas líbranos del mal. LUCAS 11:2-4

MATEO 5:44-45  Pero yo os digo: Amad a vuestros enemigos, bendecid a los que os maldicen, haced bien a los que os aborrecen, y orad por los que os ultrajan y os persiguen; para que seáis hijos de vuestro Padre que está en los cielos, que hace salir su sol sobre malos y buenos, y que hace llover sobre justos e injustos.

Y cuando ores, no seas como los hipócritas; porque ellos aman el orar en pie en las sinagogas y en las esquinas de las calles, para ser vistos de los hombres; de cierto os digo que ya tienen su recompensa. Mas tú, cuando ores, entra en tu aposento, y cerrada la puerta, ora a tu Padre que está en secreto; y tu Padre que ve en lo secreto te recompensará en público. Y orando, no uséis vanas repeticiones, como los gentiles, que piensan que por su palabrería serán oídos. No os hagáis, pues, semejantes a ellos; porque vuestro Padre sabe de qué cosas tenéis necesidad, antes que vosotros le pidáis. Vosotros, pues, oraréis así: Padre nuestro que estás en los cielos, santificado sea tu nombre. Venga tu reino, Hágase tu voluntad, como el cielo, así también en la tierra. El pan nuestro de cada día, dánoslo hoy. Y perdónanos nuestras deudas, como también nosotros perdonamos a nuestros deudores. Y no nos metas en tentación, mas líbranos del mal; porque tuyo es el reino, y el poder, y la gloria, por todos los siglos.  Amén. MATEO 6:5-13

MARCOS 11:24-26  Por tanto, os digo que todo lo que pidiereis orando, creed que lo recibiréis, y os vendrá.  Y cuando estéis orando, perdonad, si tenéis algo contra alguno, para que también vuestro Padre que está en los cielos os perdone a vosotros vuestras ofensas.  Porque si vosotros no perdonáis, tampoco vuestro Padre que está en los cielos os perdonará vuestras ofensas.

MATEO 9:37-38  Entonces dijo a sus discípulos:  A la verdad la mies es mucha, mas los obreros pocos.  Rogad, pues, al Señor de la mies, que envíe obreros a su mies.

MATEO 21:22  Y todo lo que pidiereis en oración, creyendo, lo recibiréis.

JUAN 14:13-16  Y todo lo que pidiereis al Padre en mi nombre, lo haré, para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.  Si algo pidiereis en mi nombre, yo lo haré.  Si me amáis, guardad mis mandamientos.  Y yo rogaré al Padre, y os dará otro Consolador, para que esté con vosotros para siempre

MATEO 18:19-20  De cierto os digo que todo lo que atéis en la tierra, será atado en el cielo; y todo lo que desatéis en la tierra, será desatado en el cielo.  Otra vez os digo, que si dos de vosotros se pusieren de acuerdo en la tierra acerca de cualquiera cosa que pidieren, les será hecho por mi Padre que está en los cielos.  Porque donde están dos o tres congregados en mi nombre, allí estoy yo en medio de ellos.

JUAN 17:20  Mas no ruego solamente por éstos, sino también por los que han de creer en mí por la palabra de ellos

LUCAS 18:1-8  También les refirió Jesús una parábola sobre la necesidad de orar siempre, y no desmayar, diciendo: Había en una ciudad un juez, que ni temía a Dios,  ni respetaba a hombre. Había también en aquella ciudad una viuda, la cual venía a él, diciendo:  Hazme justicia de mi adversario. Y él no quiso por algún tiempo; pero después de esto dijo dentro de sí: Aunque ni temo a Dios, ni tengo respeto a hombre, sin embargo, porque esta viuda me es molesta, le haré justicia, no sea que viniendo de continuo, me agote la paciencia. Y dijo el Señor: Oíd lo que dijo el juez injusto. ¿Y acaso Dios no hará justicia a sus escogidos, que claman a él día y noche? ¿Se tardara en responderles? Os digo que pronto les hará justicia. Pero cuando venga el Hijo del Hombre, ¿Hallará fe en la tierra? Lucas 18:2-8

JUAN 17:8-9  Porque las palabras que me diste, les he dado; y ellos las recibieron, y han conocido verdaderamente que salí de ti, y han creído que tú me enviaste.  Yo ruego por ellos; no ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste; porque tuyos son

LUCAS 18:9-14  A unos que confiaban en sí mismos como justos, y menospreciaban a los otros, dijo también esta parábola:  Dos hombres subieron al templo a orar: uno era fariseo, y el otro publicano.  El fariseo, puesto en pie, oraba consigo mismo de esta manera: Dios, te doy gracias porque no soy como los otros hombres, ladrones, injustos, adúlteros, ni aun como este publicano; ayuno dos veces a la semana, doy diezmos de todo lo que gano.  Mas el publicano, estando lejos, no quería ni aun alzar los ojos al cielo, sino que se golpeaba el pecho, diciendo: Dios, sé propicio a mí, pecador.  Os digo que éste descendió a su casa justificado antes que el otro; porque cualquiera que se enaltece, será humillado; y el que se humilla será enaltecido.

MARCOS 1:35  Levantándose muy de mañana, siendo aún muy oscuro, salió y se fue a un lugar desierto, y allí oraba.

LUCAS 5:16  Mas él se apartaba a lugares desiertos, y oraba.

MATEO 26:41  Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación; el espíritu a la verdad está dispuesto, pero la carne es débil.

LUCAS 22:39-40  Y saliendo, se fue, como solía, al monte de los Olivos; y sus discípulos también le siguieron.  Cuando llegó a aquel lugar, les dijo: Orad que no entréis en tentación.

MARCOS 14:38  Velad y orad, para que no entréis en tentación; el espíritu a la verdad está dispuesto, pero la carne es débil.

MARCOS 13:32-33  Pero de aquel día y de la hora nadie sabe, ni aun los ángeles que están en el cielo, ni el Hijo, sino el Padre.  Mirad, velad y orad; porque no sabéis cuando será el tiempo.

Mirad también por vosotros mismos, que vuestros corazones no se carguen de glotonería y embriaguez y de los afanes de esta vida, y venga de repente sobre vosotros aquel día. Porque como un lazo vendrá sobre todos los que habitan sobre la faz de toda la tierra. Velad, pues, en todo tiempo orando que seáis tenidos por dignos de escapar de todas estas cosas que vendrán, y de estar en pié delante del Hijo del Hombre. LUCAS 21:34-36

LUCAS 22:46  Y les dijo: ¿Por qué dormís? Levantaos, y orad para que no entréis en tentación.

MATEO 26:42  Otra vez fue, y oró por segunda vez, diciendo:  Padre mío, si no puede pasar de mí esta copa sin que yo la beba, hágase tu voluntad.

1 TESALONICENSES 5:17-25  Orad sin cesar. Dad gracias en todo, porque esta es la voluntad de Dios para con vosotros en Cristo Jesús.  No apaguéis al Espíritu.  No menospreciéis las profecías.  Examinadlo todo; retened lo bueno.  Absteneos de toda especie de mal.  Y el mismo Dios de paz os santifique por completo; y todo vuestro ser, espíritu, alma y cuerpo, sea guardado irreprensible para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.  Fiel es el que os llama, el cual también lo hará.  Hermanos, orad por nosotros.

1 TIMOTEO 2:1-3  Exhorto ante todo, a que se hagan rogativas, oraciones, peticiones y acciones de gracias, por todos los hombres; por los reyes y por todos los que están en eminencia, para que vivamos quieta y reposadamente en toda piedad y honestidad.  Porque esto es bueno y agradable delante de Dios nuestro Salvador

1 TIMOTEO 2:8  Quiero, pues, que los hombres oren en todo lugar, levantando manos santas, sin ira ni contienda.

SANTIAGO 5:13  ¿Esta alguno entre vosotros afligido? Haga oración. ¿Está alguno alegre?  Cante alabanzas.

SANTIAGO 5:15-16  Y la oración de fe salvará al enfermo, y el Señor lo levantará; y si hubiere cometido pecados, le serán perdonados.  Confesaos vuestras ofensas unos a otros, y orad unos por otros, para que seáis sanados.  La oración eficaz del justo puede mucho.

MATEO 21:12-13  Y entro Jesús en el templo de Dios, y echó fuera a todos los que vendían y compraban en el templo, y volcó las mesas de los cambistas, y las sillas de los que vendían palomas; y les dijo:  Escrito está:  Mi casa, casa de oración será llamada; mas vosotros la habéis hecho cueva de ladrones.

MARCOS 11:17  Y les enseñaba, diciendo:  ¿No está escrito: Mi casa será llamada casa de oración para todas las naciones?  Mas vosotros la habéis hecho cueva de ladrones.

MARCOS 12:38-40  Y les decía en su doctrina:  Guardaos de los escribas, que gustan de andar con largas ropas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas, y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas; que devoran las casas de las viudas, y por pretexto hacen largas oraciones.  Estos recibirán mayor condenación.

LUCAS 20:46-47  Guardaos de los escribas, que gustan de andar con ropas largas, y aman las salutaciones en las plazas, y las primeras sillas en las sinagogas, y los primeros asientos en las cenas; que devoran las casas de las viudas, y por pretexto hacen largas oraciones; Estos recibirán mayor condenación.

LUCAS 6:28  Bendecid a los que os maldicen, y orad por los que os calumnian.

LUCAS 10:1-2  Después de estas cosas, designó el Señor también a otros setenta, a quienes envió de dos delante de él a toda ciudad y lugar adonde él había de ir.  Y les decía:  La mies a la verdad es mucha, mas los obreros pocos; por tanto, rogad al Señor de la mies que envié obreros a su mies.

EFESIOS 1:15-19  Por esta causa también yo, habiendo oído de vuestra fe en el Señor Jesús, y de vuestro amor para con todos los santos, no ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en mis oraciones, para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, os de espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en el conocimiento de él, alumbrando los ojos de vuestro entendimiento, para que sepáis cuál es la esperanza a que él os ha llamado, y cuáles las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos y cual la supereminente grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, según la operación del poder de su fuerza.

1 TESALONICENSES 1:2  Damos siempre gracias a Dios por todos vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en nuestras oraciones

FILEMÓN 2-4  Y a la amada hermana Apia, y a Arquípo nuestro compañero de milicia, y a la iglesia que está en tu casa: Gracia y paz a vosotros, de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.  Doy gracias a mi Dios, haciendo siempre memoria de tí en mis oraciones.

1 PEDRO 3:7  Vosotros, maridos, igualmente, vivid con ellas sabiamente, dando honor a la mujer como a vaso más frágil, y como a coherederas de la gracia de la vida, para que vuestras oraciones no tengan estorbo.

1 CORINTIOS 14:13-17  Por lo cual, el que habla en lengua extraña, pida en oración poder interpretarla.  Porque si yo oro en lengua desconocida, mi espíritu ora, pero mi entendimiento queda sin fruto.  ¿Qué pues?  Oraré con el espíritu, pero oraré también con el entendimiento; cantaré con el espíritu, pero cantaré también con el entendimiento.  Porque si bendices solo con el espíritu, el que ocupa lugar de simple oyente, ¿cómo dirá el Amén a tu acción de gracias? pues no sabe lo que has dicho.

2 TESALONICENSES 3:1-5  Por lo demás, hermanos, orad por nosotros, para que la palabra del Señor corra y sea glorificada, así como lo fue entre vosotros, y para que seamos librados de hombres perversos y malos; porque no es de todos la fe.  Pero fiel es el Señor, que os afirmará y guardará del mal.  Y tenemos confianza respecto a vosotros en el Señor, en que hacéis y haréis lo que os hemos mandado.  Y el Señor encamine vuestros corazones al amor de Dios, y a la paciencia de Cristo.

1 PEDRO 3:12  Porque los ojos del Señor están sobre los justos, Y sus oídos atentos a sus oraciones; Pero el rostro del Señor esta contra aquellos que hacen el mal.

HECHOS 8:18-22  Cuando vio Simón que por la imposición de las manos de los apóstoles se daba el Espíritu Santo, les ofreció dinero, diciendo:  Dadme también a mí este poder, para que cualquiera a quien yo impusiere las manos reciba el Espíritu Santo.  Entonces Pedro le dijo:  Tu dinero perezca contigo, porque has pensado que el don de Dios se obtiene con dinero.  No tienes tú parte ni suerte en este asunto, porque tu corazón no es recto delante de Dios.  Arrepiéntete, pues, de esta tu maldad, y ruega a Dios, si quizás te sea perdonado el pensamiento de tu corazón

2 CORINTIOS 5:20-21  Así que, somos embajadores en nombre de Cristo, como si Dios rogase por medio de nosotros; os rogamos en nombre de Cristo: Reconciliaos con Dios.  Al que no conoció pecado, por nosotros lo hizo pecado, para que nosotros fuésemos hechos justicia de Dios en él.

COLOSENSES 1:9-10  Por lo cual también nosotros, desde el día que lo oímos, no cesamos de orar por vosotros, y de pedir que seáis llenos del conocimiento de su voluntad en toda sabiduría e inteligencia espiritual, para que andéis como es digno del Señor, agradándole en todo, llevando fruto en toda buena obra, y creciendo en el conocimiento de Dios.

APOCALIPSIS 8:2-4  Y vi a los siete ángeles que estaban en pie ante Dios; y se les dieron siete trompetas.  Otro ángel vino entonces y se paró ante el altar, con un incensario de oro; y se le dio mucho incienso para añadirlo a las oraciones de todos los santos, sobre el altar de oro que estaba delante del trono. ZACARÍAS 8:20-22  Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Aún vendrán pueblos, y habitantes de muchas ciudades; y vendrán los habitantes de una ciudad a otra, y dirán: Vamos a implorar el favor de Jehová, y a buscar a Jehová de los ejércitos.  Yo también iré.  Y vendrán muchos pueblos y fuertes naciones a buscar a Jehová de los ejércitos en Jerusalén, y a implorar el favor de Jehová.
