(MARCH 1, 2010)  EXODUS 20:3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

EXODUS 20: 4  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 

EXODUS 20:5-6  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

LEVITICUS 19:4  Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

LEVITICUS 26: 1  Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.

ACTS 7:41-42  And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.  Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven: as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

PSALM 106:19-21  They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.  Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.  They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt.

PSALM 115:4-8 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: Eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: Noses have they, but they smell not: They have hands, but they handle not: Feet have they, but they walk not: Neither speak they through their throat. THEY THAT MAKE THEM ARE LIKE UNTO THEM; SO IS EVERY ONE THAT TRUSTETH IN THEM.

LEVITICUS 26:30  And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and MY SOUL SHALL ABHOR YOU.

PSALM 106:28-29  They joined themselves also unto Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.  Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.

PSALM 106:36-40  And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.  Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.  Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a-whoring with their own inventions.  Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

ISAIAH 2:8-9  Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

ISAIAH 2:17-20  And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.  And the idols he shall utterly abolish.  And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.  In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats

ISAIAH 42:17  They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.

ISAIAH 46:6-7  They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down; yea, they worship.  They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

JEREMIAH 11: 14-15  Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.  They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

ISAIAH 45:16  They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.

ISAIAH 42:8  I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

ISAIAH 45:20  Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

ISAIAH 44:18-20 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand. And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

JEREMIAH 10:14-15  For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

EZEKIEL 6:8-9  Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.  And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a-whoring after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

EXODUS 20:17  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s.

EPHESIANS 5:5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

1 SAMUEL 15: 22-26  And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord?  Behold to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams.  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.  Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.  And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and they words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.  Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord.  And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.

1 PETER 4:3  For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries

2 KINGS 16:2-4  Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the Lord his God, like David his father.  But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel.  And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.

1 KINGS 21:25-26  But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the Lord, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.  And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.

2 KINGS 23:4-14  And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the Lord all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Beth-el.  And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the hosts of heaven.  And he brought out the grove from the house of the Lord, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people.  And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the grove.  And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beer-sheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man’s left hand at the gate of the city.  Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their brethren.  And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.  And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the Lord, by the chamber of Nathan-melech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.  And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the Lord, did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook of Kidron.  And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.  And he brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.

2 CHRONICLES 15:16  And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

2 CHRONICLES 24:18  And they left the house of the Lord God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass.

ISAIAH 10:10-11  As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

ISAIAH 1:28-29  And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be consumed.  For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.

ACTS 17:16-17  Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.  Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

ACTS: 17:23-25  For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscriptions, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.  Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things

1 CORINTHIANS 10:14  Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

1 CHRONICLES 16:25-26  For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.  For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

PSALM 97:7  Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him all ye gods.

PSALM 100:3  Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

1 CORINTHIANS 10: 19-22  What say I then?  that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?  But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.  Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.  Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy?  are we stronger than he?

GALATIANS 5:19-21  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

COLOSSIANS 3:4-6  When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:  For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.

IDOLATRÍA / IDOLATRY

(1 de MARZO del 2010)  ÉXODO 20:3 No tendrás dioses ajenos delante de mí.

ÉXODO 20:4  No te harás imagen, ni ninguna semejanza de lo que esté arriba en el cielo, ni abajo en la tierra, ni en las aguas debajo de la tierra.

ÉXODO 5-6  No te inclinarás a ellas, ni las honrarás; porque yo soy Jehová tu Dios, fuerte, celoso, que visito la maldad de los padres sobre los hijos hasta la tercera y cuarta generación de los que me aborrecen,  y hago misericordia a millares, a los que me aman y guardan mis mandamientos.

LEVÍTICO 19:4  No os volveréis a los ídolos, ni haréis para vosotros dioses de fundición. Yo Jehová vuestro Dios.

LEVÍTICO 26:1  No haréis para vosotros ídolos, ni escultura, ni os levantaréis estatua, no pondréis en vuestra tierra piedra pintada para inclinaros a ella; porque yo soy Jehová vuestro Dios.

HECHOS 7:41-42  Entonces hicieron un becerro, y ofrecieron sacrificio al ídolo, y en las obras de sus manos se regocijaron.  Y Dios se apartó, y los entregó a que rindiesen culto al ejército del cielo; como está escrito en el libro de los profetas: ¿Acaso me ofrecisteis víctimas y sacrificios En el desierto por cuarenta años, casa de Israel?

SALMO 106:19-21  Hicieron becerro en Horeb, Se postraron ante una imagen de fundición.  Así cambiaron su gloria Por la imagen de buey que come hierba.  Olvidaron al Dios de su salvación, Que había hecho grandezas en Egipto.

SALMO 115:4-8  Los ídolos de ellos son de plata y oro, Obra de manos de hombres. Tienen boca, mas no hablan; Tiene ojos, mas no ven; Orejas tienen, mas no oyen; Tienen narices, mas no huelen; Manos tienen, mas no palpan; Tienen pies, mas no anda; No hablan con su garganta. Semejantes a ellos son los que los hacen, Y cualquiera que confía en ellos.

LEVÍTICO 26:30  Destruiré vuestros lugares altos, y derribaré vuestras imágenes, y pondré vuestros cuerpos muertos sobre los cuerpos muertos de vuestros ídolos, y mi alma os abominará.

SALMO 106:28-29  Se unieron asimismo a Baal-peor, Y comieron los sacrificios de los muertos.  Provocaron la ira de Dios con sus obras, Y se desarrolló la mortandad entre ellos.

SALMO 106:36-40  Y sirvieron a sus ídolos, Los cuales fueron causa de su ruina.  Sacrificaron sus hijos y sus hijas a los demonios,  Y derramaron la sangre inocente, la sangre de sus hijos y sus hijas, Que ofrecieron en sacrificio a los ídolos de Canaán, Y la tierra fue contaminada con sangre.  Se contaminaron así con sus obras, Y se prostituyeron con sus hechos.

ISAÍAS 2:8-9  Además su tierra está llena de ídolos, y se han arrodillado ante la obra de sus manos y ante lo que fabricaron sus dedos.  Y se ha inclinado el hombre, y el varón se ha humillado; por tanto, no los perdones.

ISAÍAS 2:17-20  La altivez del hombre será abatida, y la soberbia de los hombres será humillada; y solo Jehová será exaltado en aquel día.  Y quitará totalmente los ídolos.  Y se meterán en las cavernas de las peñas y en las aberturas de la tierra, por la presencia temible de Jehová, y por el resplandor de su majestad, cuando él se levante para castigar a la tierra.  Aquel día arrojará el hombre a los topos y murciélagos sus ídolos de plata y sus ídolos de oro, que le hicieron para que adorase.

ISAÍAS 42:17  Serán vueltos atrás y en extremo confundidos los que confían en ídolos, y dicen a las imágenes de fundición: Vosotros sois nuestros dioses.

ISAÍAS 46:6-7  Sacan oro de la bolsa, y pesan plata con balanzas, alquilan un platero para hacer un dios de ello; se postran y adoran.  Se lo echan sobre los hombros, lo llevan, y lo colocan en su lugar; allí está, y no se mueve de su sitio. Le gritan, y tampoco responde, ni libra de la tribulación.

JEREMÍAS 10:14-15  Todo hombre se embrutece, y le falta ciencia; se avergüenza de su ídolo todo fundidor, porque mentirosa es su obra de fundición, y no hay espíritu en ella.  Vanidad son, obra vana; al tiempo de su castigo parecerán.

ISAÍAS 45:16  Confusos y avergonzados serán todos ellos; irán con afrenta todos los fabricadores de imágenes.

ISAÍAS 42:8  Yo soy Jehová; este es mi nombre; y a otro no daré mi gloria, ni mi alabanza a esculturas.

ISAÍAS 45:20  Reuníos y venid; juntaos todos los sobrevivientes de entre las naciones. No tienen conocimiento aquellos que erigen el madero de su ídolo, y los que ruegan a un dios que no salva.

ISAÍAS 44:18-20  No saben ni entienden; porque cerrados están sus ojos para ver, y su corazón para no entender. No discurre para consigo, no tiene sentido ni entendimiento para decir: Parte de esto quemé en el fuego, y sobre sus brasas cocí pan, asé carne, y la comí. ¿Haré del resto de él una abominación? ¿Me postraré delante de un tronco de árbol? De ceniza se alimenta; su corazón engañado le desvía, para que no libre su alma, ni diga: ¿No es pura mentira lo que tengo en mi mano derecha?

JEREMÍAS 11:13-14  Porque según el número de tus ciudades fueron tus dioses, oh Judá; y según el número de tus calles, oh Jerusalén, pusiste los altares de ignominia, altares para ofrecer incienso a Baal.  Tú, pues, no ores por este pueblo, ni levantes por ellos clamor ni oración; porque yo no oiré en el día que en su aflicción clamen a mí.

EZEQUIEL 6:8-9  Mas dejaré un resto, de modo que tengáis entre las naciones algunos que escapen de la espada, cuando seáis esparcidos por la tierra.  Y los que de vosotros escaparen se acordarán de mí entre las naciones en las cuales serán cautivos; porque yo me quebranté a causa de su corazón fornicario que se apartó de mí, y a causa de sus ojos que fornicaron tras sus ídolos; y se avergonzarán de sí mismos, a causa de los males que hicieron en todas sus abominaciones.

ÉXODO 20:17  No codiciarás la casa de tu prójimo, no codiciarás la mujer de tu prójimo, ni su siervo, ni su criada, ni su buey, ni su asno, ni cosa alguna de tu prójimo.

EFESIOS 5:5  Porque sabéis esto, que ningún fornicario, o inmundo, o avaro, que es idólatra, tiene herencia en el reino de Cristo y de Dios.

1 SAMUEL 15:22-26  Y Samuel dijo: ¿Se complace Jehová tanto en los holocaustos y víctimas, como en que se obedezca a las palabras de Jehová? Ciertamente el obedecer es mejor que los sacrificios, y el prestar atención que la grosura de los carneros.  Porque como pecado de adivinación es la rebelión, y como ídolos e idolatría la obstinación. Por cuanto tú desechaste la palabra de Jehová, él también te ha desechado para que no seas rey.  Entonces Saúl dijo a Samuel: Yo he pecado; pues he quebrantado el mandamiento de Jehová y tus palabras, porque temí al pueblo y consentí a la voz de ellos. Perdona, pues, ahora mi pecado,  y vuelve conmigo para que adore a Jehová.  Y Samuel respondió a Saúl: No volveré contigo; porque desechaste la palabra de Jehová, y Jehová te ha desechado para que no seas rey sobre Israel.

1 PEDRO 4:3  Baste ya el tiempo pasado para haber hecho lo que agrada a los gentiles, andando en lascivias, concupiscencias, embriagueces, orgías, disipación y abominables idolatrías.

2 REYES 16:2-4  Cuando comenzó a reinar Acaz era de veinte años, y reinó en Jerusalén dieciséis años; y no hizo lo recto ante los ojos de Jehová su Dios, como hizo David su padre.  Antes anduvo en el camino de los reyes de Israel, y aun hizo pasar por fuego a su hijo, según las prácticas abominables de las naciones que Jehová echó de delante de los hijos de Israel.  Asimismo sacrificó y quemó incienso en los lugares altos, y sobre collados, y debajo de todo árbol frondoso.

1 REYES 21:25-26  (A la verdad ninguno fue como Acab, que se vendió para hacer lo malo ante los ojos de Jehová; porque Jezabel su mujer lo incitaba.  El fue en gran manera abominable, caminando en pos de ídolos, conforme a todo lo que hicieron los amorreos, a los cuales lanzó Jehová de delante de los hijos de Israel.)

2 REYES 23:4-14  Entonces mandó el rey al sumo sacerdote Hilcías, a los sacerdotes de segundo orden, y a los guardianes de la puerta, que sacasen del templo de Jehová todos los utensilios que habían sido hechos para Baal, para Asera y para todo el ejército de los cielos; y los quemó fuera de Jerusalén en el campo del Cedrón, he hizo llevar las cenizas de ellos a Bet-el.  Y quitó a los sacerdotes idólatras que habían puesto los reyes de Judá para que quemasen incienso en los lugares altos en las ciudades de Judá, y en los alrededores de Jerusalén; y asimismo a los que quemaban incienso a Baal, al sol y al a luna, y a los signos del zodíaco, y a todo el ejército de los cielos.  Hizo también sacar la imagen de Asera fuera de la casa de Jehová, fuera de Jerusalén, al valle del Cedrón, y la quemó en el valle del Cedrón, y la convirtió en polvo, y echó el polvo sobre los sepulcros de los hijos del pueblo.  Además derribó los lugares de prostitución idolátrica que estaban en la casa de Jehová, en los cuales tejían las mujeres tiendas para Asera.  E hizo venir todos los sacerdotes de las ciudades de Judá, y profanó los lugares altos donde los sacerdotes quemaban incienso, desde Geba hasta Beerseba; y derribó los altares de las puertas que estaban a la entrada de la puerta de Josué, gobernador de la ciudad, que estaban a la mano izquierda, a la puerta de la ciudad.  Pero los sacerdotes de los lugares altos no subían al altar de Jehová en Jerusalén, sino que comían panes sin levadura entre sus hermanos.  Asimismo profanó a Tofet, que está en el valle del hijo de Hinom, para que ninguno pasase su hijo o su hija por fuego a Meloc.  Quitó también los caballos que los reyes de Judá habían dedicado al sol a la entrada del templo de Jehová, junto a la cámara de Natán-melec eunuco, el cual tenía a su cargo los ejidos; y quemó al fuego los carros del sol.  Derribó además el rey los altares que estaban sobre la azotea de la sala de Acaz, que los reyes de Judá habían hecho, y los altares que había hecho Manasés en los dos atrios de la casa de Jehová; y de allí corrió y arrojó el polvo al arroyo del Cedrón.  Asimismo profanó el rey los lugares altos que estaban delante de Jerusalén, a la mano derecha del monte de la destrucción, los cuales Salomón rey de Israel había edificado a Astoret ídolo abominable de los sidonios, a Quemos ídolo abominable de Moab, y a Milcom ídolo abominable de los hijos de Amón.  Y quebró las estatuas, y derribó las imágenes de Asera, y llenó el lugar de ellos de huesos de hombres.

2 CRÓNICAS 15:16  Y aun a Maaca madre del rey Asa, él mismo la depuso de su dignidad, porque había hecho una imagen de Asera; y Asa destruyó la imagen, y la desmenuzó, y la quemó junto al torrente de Cedrón.

2 CRÓNICAS 24:18  Y desampararon la casa de Jehová el Dios de sus padres, y sirvieron a los símbolos de Asera y a las imágenes esculpidas. Entonces la ira de Dios vino sobre Judá y Jerusalén por este su pecado.

ISAÍAS 10:10-11  Como halló mi mano los reinos de los ídolos, siendo sus imágenes más que las de Jerusalén y Samaria;  como hice a Samaria y a sus ídolos, ¿no haré también así a Jerusalén y a sus ídolos?

ISAÍAS 1:28-29  Pero los rebeldes y los pecadores a una serán quebrantados, y los que dejan a Jehová serán consumidos.  Entonces os avergonzarán las encinas que amasteis, y os afrentarán los huertos que escogisteis.

HECHOS 17:16-17  Mientras Pablo los esperaba en Atenas, su espíritu se enardecía viendo la ciudad entregada a la idolatría.  Así que discutía en la sinagoga con los judíos y piadosos, y en la plaza cada día con los que concurrían.

HECHOS 17:23-25  Porque pasando y mirando vuestros santuarios, hallé también un altar en el cual estaba esta inscripción: AL DIOS NO CONOCIDO. Al que vosotros adoráis, pues, sin conocerle, es a quien yo os anuncio.  El Dios que hizo el mundo y todas las cosas que en él hay, siendo Señor del cielo y de la tierra, no habita en templos hechos por manos humanas.

1 CORINTIOS 10:14  Por tanto, amados míos, huid de la idolatría.

SALMO 100:3  Reconoced que Jehová es Dios; El nos hizo, y no nosotros a nosotros mismos; Pueblo suyo somos, y ovejas de su prado.

GÁLATAS 5:19-21  Y manifiestas son las obras de la carne, que son: adulterio, fornicación, inmundicia, lascivia,  idolatría, hechicerías, enemistades, pleitos, celos, iras, contiendas, disensiones, herejías,  envidias, homicidios,, borracheras, orgías, y cosas semejantes a estas; acerca de las cuales os amonesto, como ya os lo he dicho antes, que los que practican tales cosas no heredarán el reino de Dios.

COLOSENSES 3:4-6  Cuando Cristo, vuestra vida, se manifieste, entonces vosotros también seréis manifestados con él en gloria.  Haced morir, pues, lo terrenal en vosotros: fornicación, impureza, pasiones desordenadas, malos deseos y avaricia, que es idolatría;  cosas por las cuales la ira de Dios viene sobre los hijos de desobediencia.

1 CORINTIOS 10:19-22  ¿Qué digo pues? ¿Que el ídolo es algo, o que sea algo lo que se sacrifica a los ídolos? Antes digo que lo que los gentiles sacrifican, a los demonios lo sacrifican, y no a Dios; y no quiero que vosotros os hagáis partícipes con los demonios. No podéis beber la copa del Señor, y la copa de los demonios; no podéis participar de la mesa del Señor, y de la mesa de los demonios. ¿O provocaremos a celos al Señor ¿Somos más fuertes que él?

MATEO 24:14-16; 21-22  Y será predicado este evangelio del reino en todo el mundo, para testimonio a todas las naciones; y entonces vendrá el fin. Por tanto, cuando veáis en el lugar santo la abominación desoladora de que habló el profeta Daniel (el que lee, entienda), entonces los que estén en Judea, huyan a los montes. Porque habrá entonces gran tribulación, cual no la ha habido desde el principio del mundo hasta ahora, ni la habrá.  Y si aquellos días no fuesen acortados, nadie sería salvo; mas por causa de los escogidos, aquellos días serán acortados.

APOCALIPSIS 14:6-7  Vi volar por el medio del cielo a otro ángel, que tenía el evangelio eterno para predicarlo a los moradores de la tierra, a toda nación, tribu, lengua y pueblo.  diciendo a gran voz: Temed a Dios, y dadle gloria, porque la hora de su juicio ha llegado.

APOCALIPSIS 18:4  Y oí otra voz del cielo, que decía: Salid de ella, pueblo mío.

APOCALIPSIS 3:8  YO CONOZCO TUS OBRAS; HE AQUÍ, HE PUESTO DELANTE DE TI UNA PUERTA ABIERTA, LA CUAL NADIE PUEDE CERRAR; PORQUE AUNQUE TIENES POCA FUERZA, HAS GUARDADO MI PALABRA, Y NO HAS NEGADO MI NOMBRE.

2 PEDRO 3:10  PERO EL DÍA DEL SEÑOR VENDRÁ COMO LADRÓN EN LA NOCHE; EN EL CUAL LOS CIELOS PASARÁN CON GRANDE ESTRUENDO, Y LOS ELEMENTOS ARDIENDO SERÁN DESHECHOS, Y LA TIERRA Y LAS OBRAS QUE EN ELLA HAY SERÁN QUEMADAS.
