ON A SIDE NOTE: I purchased this book, “Rogue State” a few months ago, second hand and paid one dollar for it (I don’t purchase new books for they are too expensive for me, besides why should I pay horrendous prices to find out that there is nothing new under the Sun). I didn’t know that this book title “Rogue State” even existed, nor the name if his author Mr. William Blum. I started reading it a few days ago and have just finished chapter #one. A well written book and with sources and archives that makes it very credible, if not totally credible. There are no Alternative Facts, but the correct facts.
A lot of what is written in it, I, this “fly on the Bible, have brought up with no “collusion” of any kind on the false Exceptionalism left & right, and never better said, of our Regime, the “Christian Repucrat Regime”. Monsieur Marquis de Sade was born into a very Catholic family; is anybody surprised? His father was Jean Baptiste François Joseph, Count de Sade and his mother was Marie Eléonore de Maillé de Carman, cousin and a Lady-in-waiting of a Princes by marriage to a Prince of the House of Bourbon, of France’s reigning House of Bourbon, Louis XV. Monsieur Marquis de Sade didn’t have an easy childhood although coming from a wealthy family. His father was gone with the wind, abandoned the family, and his mother after that left for the convent to become a nun. Was it the typical Catholic family of that era or just that part of the higher sphere, the rulers?
He was raised by the Sade’s house servants and educated by his uncle Abbé de Sade. What? He was sent later on to a prestigious school called Lycée Louis—le-Grand run by Jesuit priests, where he spent four years of schooling and was subjected to “severe corporal punishment,” including “flagellation,” and he “spent the rest of his adult life obsessed with the violent act.” At age 14, Sade began attending an elite military academy, and the rest is history as they say.
How much of what he wrote was his writings? And of it that he truly wrote was “The Misfortunes of Virtue and Other Early Tales”. How much was he pointing to one of the main fountains of sadismo/sadism if not to the main one?
